The 2026 Nobel Prize in Physics has been awarded to Francis Halzen for decisive contributions to the IceCube Neutrino Observatory and the discovery of high-energy astrophysical neutrinos.
Kaggle congratulated him, noting its 2023 collaboration with IceCube in which the community built open-source ML models to predict neutrino directions — a notable AI for Science case study.
