Microsoft announced MAI-Code-1.1-Flash now runs on-device inside GitHub Copilot, delivering high-quality agentic coding locally with no inference charge for local model calls. The accompanying push frames Windows as the home of "hybrid intelligence": MXC GA, GitHub Copilot HydraFusion, llama.cpp + Windows ML, Surface Laptop Ultra and Dev Box preorders, and new RTX Spark PCs.
