GraphRAG Bug: Deleted Documents Stay Indexed and Retrievable After Updates
JeremyCMorgan · x · 2026-10-08
A developer found that Microsoft GraphRAG 3.2.0's incremental updates compute removed documents but never act on them: deleted docs and their derived entities, relationships, and community reports remain indexed and retrievable. Root cause: loadupdatedocuments() only returns newinputs, ignoring deletedinputs. MSRC confirmed it as a functional/data-lifecycle defect, not a security vulnerability.
