ajratner · x · 2026-10-08
Snorkel AI is expanding its Open Benchmarks Grants 10x to a $30M commitment to bolster open frontier AI evaluation:
- Expanded funding: new benchmarks and methods across safety/alignment, cybersecurity, physical AI, long-running agent work, open-ended outputs, dynamic settings, and human uplift.
- Open Benchmarks Red Team: a new program to continuously surface weaknesses like reward-hacking exploits, contamination risks, broken verifiers, and diversity gaps.
- Snorkel Research Fellowship: support for independent evaluation researchers with access to Snorkel's team, experts, compute, and engineering.
The initial $3M round partnered with Terminal-Bench, TB-Science, ARC-AGI-3, OSWorld 2.0, Agents' Last Exam, Continual Learning Bench, Senior SWE-Bench, SlopCodeBench and more; OBG-funded benchmarks have appeared on model cards from every major frontier lab.
