Vercel announced AI SDK reached 30 million weekly npm downloads: 5M in December, 10M in March, 20M in August, and 30M by September. Despite the rapid growth, the team says its open issue count keeps dropping, credited to the issue-triage pipeline built by core maintainer lgrammel. It's now among the most widely used libraries for building AI apps.
