OpenAI unveiled an "Intelligent UI" update for ChatGPT that generates custom interactive visual elements in answers, powered by the new GPT-6 model rolling out to paid users immediately and free users the next day. WIRED's hands-on: a clickable slug anatomy diagram, a San Francisco apartment affordability calculator with movable sliders, and an airplane seat explorer comparing Alaska and Delta cabin layouts with tappable seats and highlighted exit rows. OpenAI says not every answer will include visuals — a design team decides when graphical output helps.
