Recalo launches MCP server turning social saves into a ChatGPT/Claude-readable life database
blackbarata · reddit · 2026-10-07
An indie team launched Recalo, an MCP server + app tackling the "I scroll all day and remember nothing" problem:
- Share anything from any app; content gets structured, not bookmarked: a restaurants reel becomes a list linked to your itinerary, a TikTok becomes a full recipe, a Reddit thread a summary plus its list;
- Purpose-built types for markdown notes, todos, reminders, checklists, recipes (ingredients add to shopping lists), movies, places, people, and events — new saves merge into existing notes with a source link back;
- The core hook is MCP: ChatGPT/Claude can read and write everything (demo: asking where you're staying next Thursday, creating time-aware reminders); pages and checklists can be shared with others who use their own MCP client;
- 15 tools, remote server with OAuth, no local install; generous free tier, Pro at $3.49/mo ($34.99/yr) including in-app AI usage.
Positioned against Obsidian/Notion as a for-everyone, share-from-anywhere, self-organizing store.
