Joshua Saxe: worried about AI catastrophe, not convinced by extinction scenarios

In a follow-up to criticism of his debate takeaways, Joshua Saxe restates his argument: we should understand the social mechanisms behind AI risk to mitigate it. He says he's very worried about catastrophic risk but doesn't see the case for extinction, and notes he can't be the one dismissing a stressed coder about Y2K since he is that stressed coder, professionally.
