Earthling VC doubles down on bio with 7th deal of 2026, likening it to robotics in 2023

Investor Arian Ghashghai closed Earthling VC's seventh bio deal of 2026, saying the firm is going increasingly hard on bio (with pure therapeutics the only category he avoids).
He likens bio today to robotics around 2023, when early robotics bets worked out well, citing: obvious capability step-ups from AI and core science advances; cheaper and faster paths to market with legacy business model disruption; clearly undervalued pre-seed pricing; and a palpable wave of top-tier talent from both CS and traditional bio backgrounds starting companies. His rule: invest where the smartest people you meet are starting companies.
