Opus 5.5 builds 'black slopboxes' that beat human code on speed and quality despite ugly aesthetics
burny_tech · x · 2026-10-07
gfodor reports that Opus 5.5 can iteratively build "slopgarithms" that outperform existing solutions on both speed and quality by a wide margin. The code aesthetics are awful enough to make humans cringe, but the results are hard to argue with. He expects a wave of miracle-performing "black slopboxes" ahead, calling this the age of black slopboxes.
