Power users are far ahead: most people still have no idea how to use LLMs
iruletheworldmo · x · 2026-10-07
A daily LLM user argues that anyone who has used these models every day since ChatGPT launched is far ahead of the average user, thanks to a thousand small things power users take for granted.
His observation: most average users don't know how to use the models at all — they stick to free plans, don't realize models have browsing and tools, get frustrated and give up. They never wire the model into their work, let it read their files, emails and drives, or merge everything into their workflow.
He calls it "a different existence" that massively changes perceptions of model capability, though he expects the gap may close over time.
