At Infor's manufacturing session at Velocity Week in Orlando, automotive industry principal Henning Dransfeld shared data and tactics for moving AI past the pilot stage.
Key numbers:
- Infor's Enterprise AI Adoption Impact Index: full-scale deployment among 550 US decision-makers rose from 21% in April to 34% in August
- Customer-reported efficiency gains rose 7.1% from April to October, concentrated in North America
A live poll of 94 attendees: 43% still evaluating, 38% piloting one or two use cases, 15% live in limited production, only 4% with agents embedded across multiple functions.
Dransfeld's playbook is concrete: pick one plant job, settle data visibility, assign a person accountable for decisions, and pick agents from a shared library he says already holds 500 agents.
