Security researchers found 8,547 internet-facing systems linked to European wind and solar parks, and believe full control may have been possible at roughly 181 sites. One turbine interface reportedly exposed live operational data alongside "Start, Stop and Reset" controls.
The researchers' recommendation is blunt: remove admin interfaces from the public internet immediately. Full findings are available in their report.
