As TechCrunch reports sites blocking AI agents (Amazon banning Meta's Muse), a counter-experiment: an untuned GLM-Edge-1.5B-Chat (Q4KM GGUF, llama.cpp) on a 4GB Samsung Galaxy A04e completed a real Amazon cart task — finding AA batteries and yellow rubber ducks via a normal Firefox session, succeeding twice in 8.5 minutes (3 min on a Galaxy S21).
Key architecture:
- Runs locally, acting through the user's existing browser session rather than arriving as a separate agent
- Gets no screenshots or raw HTML, only a compact structured perception layer (E2LLM/SiFR), making small per-step decisions
- Reframes access from 'how do sites admit AI agents' to 'what's allowed inside a user session' — Browser-as-Shared-Space (BaSS)
Continues prior on-device experiments with Qwen3-0.6B and Ministral 3 3B.
