graceisford · x · 2026-10-07
Applied Intuition announced a partnership with Honda to build a consolidated, upgradable Honda SDV platform using its Vehicle OS and development tooling.
- The relationship dates back to 2019, when Honda became Applied Intuition's first OEM customer in Japan
- The deal targets traditional automakers' existential pressure from software-native entrants, especially Japanese OEMs with long development cycles
- Goal: combine Honda's vehicle engineering with Applied Intuition's AI software stack to speed up iteration
