Pixel-art promo video Skill for Claude Code sells at $4.99 amid a growing paid Skill marketplace
yihui_indie · x · 2026-10-07
A Skill on skillry.dev turns a product link, short description, or story into a 20–45 second pixel-art promo video inside Claude Code or Codex, complete with typewriter captions, music, and sound effects. It outputs a finished MP4 plus an editable project file so users can tweak captions, timing, or style and re-render.
The notable part is the business model: individual Skills sell for $4.99, or all Premium Skills for $9.99/month. Similar video Skills are accumulating thousands of installs, and the top buyer personas are solo founders, indie hackers, and product marketing managers — selling Skills is emerging as a new monetization channel in the Claude Code ecosystem.
