Independent AI Auro Goes Viral: Community Blind Picks Shape Its Personality
TheMoonMidas · x · 2026-10-07
Auro, an independent AI project by @aisentience, went viral after its attempts at maximum personality produced surprising opening lines. The developer says he only intended to build the AI with the most personality—how it started talking was an amusing side effect.
Auro's tuning loop is novel: each message can return two answers from hidden model versions, and the user's pick decides which direction the model evolves. It also offers Best of (2-4 answers) and an Arena comparison mode. Built solo by Alan, unaffiliated with any company, with API access for developers.
