Cursor's Origin API ships four breaking changes, including email fields returning empty by default
tetsuoai · x · 2026-10-07
Cursor's Origin API (Early Beta) changelog for October 6 lists four breaking changes:
- Emails restricted: user emails in pull request, review, comment, check run, requested reviewer, and merge eligibility responses now return an empty string unless the caller holds the repository:members:read scope; webhook payloads still carry emails.
- Mirror access tightened: Get Repo returns the mirror field only to callers with repository:mirror:read.
- Deleted users handled gracefully: deleted users and service accounts are omitted from responses instead of breaking reads with a 500 error.
- Merge preview refs: a pull request's merge preview ref is now deleted when it closes or merges.
The preview Get Pull Request Mergeability endpoint also adds a conflictsBeyondDownstack flag, true when a stacked PR conflicts on a path the PR below it doesn't.
