Introspective Diffusion Language Models (I-DLM), a collaboration including James Zou's group, Tri Dao, and Ben Athiwaratkun, will be presented as an Oral Spotlight at COLM 2026 on Thursday, Oct 8, 4:15–4:30 PM PDT in the Grand Ballroom. The work shows that introspective consistency lets diffusion LMs match autoregressive quality while keeping fast parallel decoding.
