Mike Knoop: AI-automated science is the biggest shift in the philosophy of science since writing
pzakin · x · 2026-10-07
Zapier co-founder Mike Knoop argues humanity now has a clear recipe for using AI to automate conceptual search, transformation and verification toward new science. Every scientist has been bottlenecked by finite ability to absorb and search accumulated knowledge; AI can now tell whether an open problem needs new ideas or whether the answer is latent in what we already know. He calls it the most significant change in the philosophy of science since the invention of writing 6,000 years ago.
