Developer Ben Barry released Nestag, a free macOS app that visualizes Finder tags as nestable hierarchy containers (folder-like) and lets you batch-tag files and folders quickly.
He says he built the app with AI back in February — a tool he had wanted for nearly a decade. Requires macOS 14+.
