Runner Drew Edwards built Flatten SF over a weekend after moving to San Francisco: a browser-based planner computing routes over 160k street segments using USGS 1m LiDAR elevation and the Overture/OpenStreetMap graph. A distance-vs-climbing slider shows only Pareto-optimal routes; bike mode weights calm streets and bike lanes shorter, and place search is fully offline and built into the page.
