YC CEO Garry Tan says that over dinner with Tom Brown, Tom Blomfield and Paul Graham, he used Opus 5.5 in fast mode to implement Doom in Paul Graham's Bel Lisp variant in about 20 minutes: 32k lines of C++ transpiled to under 2k lines of Bel, plus a full Bel interpreter written in JS.
He followed up that about 3 more prompts got it to 35fps at 640x480, pulling from 8 CPU cores per frame.
