Cursor's Origin API ships four breaking changes, email fields now scope-gated
tetsuoai · x · 2026-10-07
Cursor's Origin API (Early Beta) changelog for October 6 includes four breaking changes for developers.
- Email gating: user emails now return as empty strings in pull request, review, comment, check run, requested reviewer and merge eligibility responses unless the caller holds repository:members:read; webhook payloads still carry emails.
- Get Repo returns mirror info only to callers with repository:mirror:read.
- Deleted users and service accounts are omitted from responses instead of causing 500 errors on reads.
- A pull request's merge preview ref is deleted when it closes or merges.
Also, Get Pull Request Mergeability (preview) adds a conflictsBeyondDownstack merge-conflict blocker, true when a stacked PR conflicts on a path the PR below it doesn't.
