Sort Visualizer puts 15+ sorting algorithms side by side in animated web demos
ArtificialOther · x · 2026-10-07
Sort Visualizer is a web tool that animates classic sorting algorithms grouped by complexity class: logarithmic (quick, merge, heap), quadratic (bubble, selection, insertion, gnome, shaker, pancake, etc.), and 'weird' ones (bitonic, radix, shell, comb, Bogo, Stooge), plus a custom-sort option.
The site also explains big-O/Θ/Ω notation and best/average/worst-case complexity, arguing that watching algorithms run is a fun way to understand how they work. Handy for teaching and self-study.
