DHH: frontier agents built my Elixir code but can't find the "go fast" switches
devenbhooshan · x · 2026-10-07
Responding to criticism of his Elixir project's performance, DHH says he "didn't do anything" — he just asked two frontier agents to make the most of Elixir and that's the result. He welcomes PRs to speed things up, but notes it's not a point in Elixir's favor if frontier agents can't find the magic "go fast" switches.
devenbhooshan amplifies the exchange, which highlights both how default agents have become in elite workflows and their limits at non-obvious performance tuning.
