vLLM announced day-0 support for EmbeddingGemma 2, Google's first natively multimodal open embedding model. Built on the Gemma 4 architecture under Apache 2.0, it unifies text, image, video, audio, and code in a single embedding space. Available now via the latest vLLM nightly build.
