OpenAI to fund Nicholas Nethercote's work speeding up the Rust compiler

charliermarsh (author of Ruff) announced that OpenAI will fund Nicholas Nethercote's compiler performance work as part of a Rust Project Goal to make rustc faster. Nethercote has long contributed major speedups to the Rust compiler.
