garrytan · x · 2026-10-07
YC president Garry Tan says that over dinner last night with Tom Brown, Tom Blomfield and Paul Graham, he used Opus 5.5 in fast mode to implement Doom in PG's Bel LISP variant in about 20 minutes: 32k lines of C++ transpiled to under 2k LOC of Bel, plus a full Bel interpreter written in JS. He shared a playable link and source code, telling PG it's time to vibe code.
