Researcher Aran Nayebi weighed in on a debate: after enough time around experimental neuroscience, he finds experimental approaches intractable for solving intelligence — not only because biology is hard and slow, but because the tasks used are overly simple and non-ethological. He still sees value in targeted disease therapies, which he says is the main goal of the experimentalists anyway.
