Microsoft briefly confirms OpenAI uses Looped Transformers in GPT-6 series, then scrubs the page

A Reddit user spotted that a publicly accessible Microsoft web page confirmed OpenAI has been using Looped Transformers in the GPT-6 series, vindicating The Information's earlier reporting. The page mentioned GPT-6.1 Sol uses 2 inference passes, "instead of three." On the "same base model weights as GPT-6 Sol" phrasing, the poster interprets it as 6 and 6.1 being separately post-trained models on the same pre-trained base — different post-training plus one fewer loop. Update: Microsoft has since updated the page to remove the mention.
