A reusable prompt that turns any topic into two self-contained HTML learning pages
Gauri_the_great · x · 2026-10-06
The author shares their go-to learning prompt (instead of ASD-STE100), asking an LLM to produce two downloadable, self-contained HTML pages:
- Foundations — purpose, prerequisites, core concepts, mechanisms, math, examples, tradeoffs, limitations.
- Practice — workflows, implementation details, tools, common mistakes, debugging and verification.
The prompt also specifies: teach hard ideas via intuition → concrete example → formal explanation → application; distinguish foundational vs. established vs. advanced material and mark essential vs. secondary knowledge; end each page with a compact revision sheet; verify claims against authoritative sources with linked references and flag uncertainty; include responsive styling, navigation, search, print/PDF controls, and offline-friendly diagrams.
Anyone using LLMs to build self-study material can copy this template directly.
