Qiaomu Clipper open-sourced: clip web and video into Obsidian, read and chat with AI
vista8 · x · 2026-10-06
@vista8 open-sourced Qiaomu Clipper, a Chrome extension that saves web pages and videos into Obsidian (currently a dev build, not yet on the store).
- Read and ask: highlight any passage to ask AI, with clean article view and inline explanations on the same page
- Video: press a hotkey on YouTube/Bilibili for a subtitle toolbar, video and transcript side by side, click timestamps to revisit moments
- Install: from source or via the 1.13.1 preview package, no Node.js needed
Usage tip from the author: send the link to Codex or a similar agent and let it install the extension and local helper; PRs welcome.
