ChatGPT has 3x Claude's paid subscribers as Claude's US growth cools

ChatGPT has 3x the US paid subscribers of Claude and Gemini, an even wider gap globally — though Claude's traffic has passed DeepSeek and Grok, and its subscriptions passed Gemini in the past six months.
But Claude's consumer momentum may be fading: net new US paid users have declined steadily since May while ChatGPT's growth re-accelerated. Their user bases are also diverging — Claude skews male, high-income and coastal; ChatGPT is more evenly distributed.
