Reporting from the Curve conference: AI whistleblowers Jacob Coxon, Daniel Kokotajlo and Alex Turner testified before the City Council, and the author's takeaway is that "there are no adults in the room" — AI company leaders have no plan for steering and controlling truly smart AI, which could arrive as soon as next year. The question senior AI-company people kept getting: "why are you doing this???" — and the answers left people unsatisfied.
