Liquid AI adds vision to d1 decision model, matching GPT-6.1 on 4 of 6 tasks at 19x-200x lower cost
JosephJacks_ · x · 2026-10-06
Liquid AI announced vision support for d1, its first decision model, accepting images, text, or both. Benchmarked on six real applications (support-ticket filtering to circuit-board inspection), d1 matches or beats GPT-6.1 Sol on four, costs 19x-200x less than both GPT-6.1 Sol and Claude Opus 5.5, and answers faster on every task. It outputs probabilities for yes/no, choice, or score questions in a single forward pass without generating tokens, with text decisions in 200-300ms.
