Opus 5.5 writes and directs a short film about addiction, rendered in Python

A Reddit user gave Claude Opus 5.5 one core idea — a 2-3 minute film about addiction, relapse and recovery, built on the thought that even if you miss the sunrise, the sun will still be there tomorrow — then let it develop the visual metaphor, storyboard, animation, sound design and edit itself. After the first render, the user gave feedback on audio, pacing, the relapse sequence and ending, and the model reworked the final version.
Notably, everything was rendered programmatically with Python, Pillow, OpenCV, NumPy and FFmpeg — no AI video generator involved.
