Opus 5.5 directed a film in under 16 seconds, scripting and editing itself
gouterz · reddit · 2026-10-05
A Reddit user had Opus 5.5 tell a story in under 16 seconds. Since Opus can't generate video itself, it wrote the story, produced prompts fed to Seedance 2.5, then compiled the footage, added sound effects, and edited everything with ffmpeg and Python on the user's machine. A neat demo of an orchestration-style agent workflow: the model handles creative direction and task decomposition while external tools execute.
