Ex-Salesforce AI exec on 60 Minutes: AI will profoundly impact every profession
clarashih · x · 2026-10-05
Clara Shih, who led AI divisions at Salesforce and Meta and now runs a nonprofit helping young people navigate the AI economy, told 60 Minutes that AI will have a profound impact on every profession. She warned against sugarcoating an "AI utopia": a lot of hurt could happen before we get there.
The report also notes that Mercor has assembled 100,000+ freelancers to teach AI models across fields; nearly three-fourths of Americans fear AI coming for their jobs (Pew); and a McKinsey report projects AI could force 11 million U.S. workers into new careers by 2035.
