SpaceX engineer: AI agents now merge PRs on their own — over 1,000 a month
itsOmSarraf_ · x · 2026-10-05
SpaceX engineer Lauren Tan (@poteto) describes on Matt Pocock's podcast how she uses pstack at SpaceX: agents can autonomously open and merge pull requests — she sleeps and reviews merged code later. With autopilot on, each PR spawns a verification agent that actually runs the app, clicks through it like a human, and hunts for regressions. She compares it to having ten-plus chiefs of staff, each owning an area. The episode runs 66 minutes.
