Cloudflare Agents SDK adds Pi Durable harness for crash-resilient long-running agents
mitsuhiko · x · 2026-10-05
Cloudflare announced first-class support for the Pi harness in its Agents SDK. A new PiHarness lifecycle capability, built with Earendil, combines Pi 1.0 and Pi Durable to run long-lived agents inside Durable Objects, persisting state so work survives crashes, restarts, and network failures. The Pi packages are optional peer dependencies installed only when the harness is used, and this marks Cloudflare's first step toward supporting third-party agent harnesses.
