Apple quietly shipped MagSafe 3 cable firmware 3.2.0; GLM used to diff the changes

Earlier this week Apple released firmware 3.2.0 for its USB-C to MagSafe 3 Cable (2m), the first update in over three years. @dannolan used GLM — a model known for almost never refusing requests — to diff the firmware changes, calling the results interesting. Using an LLM to reverse-engineer obscure accessory firmware updates drew attention and reposts across the AI community.
