GitHub released Copilot CLI v1.0.92-4 with new copilot config subcommands to list/read/set/remove settings, faster first-run startup via child-process extraction, improved responsiveness when connecting many MCP servers, and Canvas actions that can return images to the model. Fixes include legacy HTTP+SSE MCP connections no longer hanging indefinitely, compaction preserving the latest prompt, retries after downscaling oversized Anthropic requests, sandboxed shells withholding ambient GITHUBTOKEN, reliable live stdout/stderr streaming for shell tools, and sessions no longer crawling after very large file writes.
