Claude Code builds its own frame-by-frame QA validator for a stick-fight animation series
MrFelliks · reddit · 2026-10-05
A developer used Claude Code to create a stick-fight animation series entirely in code — no video models. 1000 Mixamo mocap clips were converted to 2D bone angles, with Claude choreographing on the beat; physics via planck.js ragdolls, rendered deterministically frame-by-frame in headless Chrome via Playwright.
The surprise: each time a flaw was pointed out, Claude added a rule to a validator that audits the whole plan frame-by-frame. It now checks 30 issues (whiffed punches, idle enemies, teleports, floating feet, camera missing a kill, action matching the music), re-plans with new seeds until zero problems, then renders. The author says taste, not code, was the hardest part.
