Open workflow extends static video shots without degradation using Ref2v, masks and bridge resampling
roychodraws · reddit · 2026-10-05
Reddit user roychodraws published a video-extension workflow (github.com/roycho87/refreshingextender) that uses an edge mask to lock the background, plus reference images, prompting and ControlNet for shot consistency, then resamples a bridge clip via Ref2v's continuation feature to connect two static shots instead of naively extending — avoiding quality degradation. Tested by making a character lift a finger per clip; results are near-seamless with only slight color shift on two-handed motion.
