Inside a multi-agent software factory: triage, implement, verify, review, ship, monitor

Developer Ben Holmes shared the architecture of the multi-agent system powering his team's software factory:
- Requirements come in via Linear issues or mostly Slack threads
- A triage agent researches the task and decides whether to implement or ask clarifying questions
- An implementation agent builds the feature, optionally co-writing a spec with a human via a subagent first
- A verification subagent runs end-to-end tests on the implementation agent's work
- A code review agent cycles with the implementation agent for a few rounds before human review and ship
- Monitoring automation responds to alerts and files issues — the first step toward closing the factory loop
He notes there's room to simplify: they're benchmarking whether separate agents for triage vs. implementation are needed, or whether one high-intelligence model can handle most steps — but the core loop stays the same.
