UCL professor and MMD pioneer Arthur Gretton announces a talk on gradient flows on the Maximum Mean Discrepancy (and friends) on Monday, October 5, 9am EST, at the Emerging Directions in Probabilistic Modeling workshop (New York, Oct 5–7), with a livestream available.
The workshop covers kernel and optimal-transport methods, diffusion/flow-matching generative models, advanced MCMC sampling, conditional/constrained generation, and scientific applications from molecular dynamics to climate modeling. Speakers include David Alvarez-Melis (Harvard/MSR) and Claire Boyer (Université Paris-Saclay).
