89% of firms use AI, only 37% see earnings impact — transformation is the gap

Citing survey data, Ignacio Giron notes that while 89% of organizations now use AI in at least one business function, only 37% report a positive impact on earnings. The bottleneck is no longer access to models, copilots, or agents — it's the lack of redesigned operating models: new workflows, governance, accountability, and economics. Deploying AI is easy; reorganizing a company around it is hard, and that's where the next competitive advantage lies. AI adoption is commoditizing; AI transformation is not.
