Women hold just 25% of new AI jobs, 13% of executive roles, LinkedIn data shows

The Guardian reports women are being left behind in the AI boom:
- A LinkedIn report found women made up only 25% of new hires in AI roles last year, vs 50% in non-AI roles — and just 13% in executive roles.
- Women are also overrepresented in roles with high AI-disruption exposure, like customer service.
- Prioriwise CEO Urvashi Batra rejects the "AI levels the playing field" narrative: investors take her less seriously, and pitching with her male co-founder yields better results.
The piece urges Europe's tech scene to fund, mentor and include women to avoid a gendered AI future.
