Dev builds personal AI harness with 50+ cron jobs and own MCP servers

A SaaS developer shared how he built his own AI harness after finding OpenClaw, Hermes, and t3code each lacking: he prompted Claude to generate a personal system running on his Tailscale network, accessible only to himself.
- The starting prompt told Claude to borrow the best of each tool — OpenClaw's Heartbeat, Hermes's memory system, t3code's multi-account chat UI — with React/shadcn, storing memories in a GitHub repo.
- He's since added website monitoring, GSC keyword tracking, and at least 50 cron jobs, with each SaaS project in its own workspace and memory set.
- The harness connects to his PostFast social scheduling MCP server (scheduling posts from chat) and his email SaaS SendHeron's API for full automation.
- A second coding-focused harness runs on a VPS with code-server, so he can code from phone or tablet — "you don't even need a laptop anymore."
His point: keep the underlying provider swappable to survive rug pulls, and open-source tools are great building blocks — but AI-built custom tools beat generic ones for personal needs. He won't sell it; it's too tailored.
